Many thanks Rodrigo - this looks very interesting, especially as your monazite is lower in Th than some placers. It is surprising that it appears Archaean in age though, where are the nearest Archaean rocks that could have been the eventual source? Have you considered some Nd isotopic work to help identify the possible source?
