Thank you for the interesting presentation. Were you able to determine how much Mn oxide precipitated over the 15 years? If so how does the rate compare to expected rates of nodule growth?
Thank Daniel. Yes, we calculated the order of mass accumulation rate of Mn based on the observation of 1000-10000 particles per millimeter square plate per year, which matches the rate of ferromanganese crust accumulation 4 micron meters per 1000 year. This is within the same range!
