Thank for the talk, really interesting stuff. I wanted to follow up and maybe combine a few of the things you talked about: the pyrite trace element database and the "mineral like species" possibly used in biologic processes. In our APT analyses we found that the trace elements in pyrite are often highly heterogeneous. I think it is reasonable that some other elements will prove to be the same. How big do the "mineral like species" need to be to be useful to biology? If its small should we expand the amount of nano-scale analyses we are doing to correctly identify and characterize these species?
