Details for: Marcos García-Arias

I am a Spaniard granitologist working at the University of Los Andes, Colombia. My topics of research (when teaching and my administrative duties allow me) is the petrogenesis of granitoids formed at collisional (continent-continent and continent-ocean) settings, particularly the processes that control the major and trace element geochemistry of these interesting rocks, via thermodynamic modelling (pseudosections). In my (little) free time I enjoy listening to music, reading books about WW2 and (before the coronavirus) walking and working out.
