I am a second-year PhD student at the Department of Earth, Environment and Planetary Sciences at Rice University. I am a paleoceanographer in training and my research focuses on elevated productivity at upwelling zones during the Mid Miocene-Early Pliocene. My other areas of interest are paleoclimate, stable isotope geochemistry and sedimentology. I also have working experience in the oil and gas industry as a Production Geologist. Academics aside, my interests include travelling, poetry, photography and spending time with my cat.
