My Goldschmidt

Role functions

Details for: Yuexiao Shao

I have arrived Australia since 2013 after high school in my hometown; here I completed my Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geology in the University of Adelaide. During the past 4 years, I knew my supervisors and built my confidence in researches, I believe I am passionate in learning new things and getting new experience, so I decided to continue my Ph.D. Personally, I love travelling and nature, I respect and appreciate the environments and resources given by our incredible planet, and I think it is humans' obligation to get to know it and protect it in return, and science is my way of doing it. And I also love adventures, different languages and cultures; I enjoy travelling alone and tried to learn other languages by myself, as I had unforgettable friendships in Turkey, which got over the language barrier to my heart. I wish all cultures understand and respect one another. Apart from these, I spent a lot of time on exercising (mainly swimming, as I love water) and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle; I also like music, painting and dancing. As for my future, all I want to do is to make the planet better, to understand the earth's systems and its past and to prevent further damage to it. Moreover, I want to travel as much as I can, either as a scientist or a traveler.
