I am a doctoral candidate in earth sciences at the University of Ottawa, with a particular research interest in the role of bacteria in the iron redox cycle and in turn contaminant mobility. Previously, I have worked as a consultant and research assistant with the Environmental Sciences Group in Kingston (Canada). I have published a range of papers, with a particular focus on contaminated mine sites, arsenic speciation and uptake. My research has utilized a range of modeling and experimental techniques, including XANES (APS, Argonne National Laboratory, Canadian Lightsource), bioaccessibility testing and HPLC ICP-MS.
