My Goldschmidt

Role functions

Details for: Michael Krom

I am Professor of Marine and Environmental Geochemistry at the Charney School of Marine Sciences of Haifa University and the School of Earth and Environment of Leeds University. My particular area of specialisation is understanding the biogeochemical processes which control the geochemistry of P in a variety of different systems. Recently I have been working on how atmospheric processes alter the bioavailability of P (and Fe) for delivery to the ocean. I have a long term interest in nutrient cycling in the Eastern Mediterranean as it affects P, N and most recently silica. I have also published papers on P chemistry on the Yellow river in China, and on sustainable Mariculture systems.
