Citation: Karen Johannesson is the Cochran Family Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Tulane University. Her research focuses on quantifying the biochemical cycling of trace elements, with emphasis on the lanthanide series and a number of oxyanion-forming trace elements such as arsenic, antimony, tungsten, and vanadium.
