Very interesting! I'm looking forward to reading the papers. Can you tell me more about your Ge-Cu correlations? What are the filled data points? What is the explanation for the 1:3 ratio (and what would that be in atomic ratio)? Also, have you done any work to characterize the oxidation state of germanium in your samples?
