Really interesting talk which provides a convincing explanation for why DOM might accumulate at depth in porewaters. Aside from accumulation of deaminated peptides what other compound transformations do you think might contribute to the DOM accumulation? Also how might these trends and changes differ between shelf systems dominated by algal versus terrestrial OM?
