I really like this simple and beautiful idea. Here are two questions and one suggestion. (1) I can see there is a ~29 kyr peaks in the power spectrum. What is it? (2) What's the mechanism of the precession and obliquity forced gyre circulation? Suggestion: We usually show the significance levels of spectral peaks. You may find Acycle software for time series analysis is helpful: https://github.com/mingsongli/acycle Thanks for this great study.
