Thanks for sharing this interesting data on Boron in mud volcanoes. I have several questions: 1) Why is there more lattice-bound B in the Kerch peninsula MVs than in Taiwan? Are the fluids from different depths? 2) What are the respective roles of lattice-bound vs. exchangeable B for the ocean boron budget? Is lattice-bound boron removed from ocean water, or is it eventually released via weathering at the sea floor? Can you quantify the relative amounts of exchangebale vs. lattice-bound with the isotope data? Thanks!
