Hi Patrick, I enjoyed listening to your presentation and seeing your new dataset for the Deccan. I was wondering what type of magmas are formed where the lithosphere is 135 km thick? At these depths (& mantle potential temperatures of 1500 oC) adibatic decompression melting would generate incipient melts (melilitites?) rather than the alkali and tholeiitic basalts that are typically associated with the Deccan Traps.
