Are the ages of the biotite-monzogranites and two-mica granites you studied the same (2003?10 vs 2057?14Ma)? Is there a genetic link between the two rocks?
Hello Dr. Ma, thanks a lot for your question. Unfortunately I had issues while trying to upload my presentation so I couldn't show my slides. We had these two Concordia ages, 2003?10 for the biotite-monzogranites and 2056?14 for the two-mica granites. Our interpretation is that they are derived from different sources, i.e. the Archean TTGs from Gavião Block are the sources of the biotite-monzogranites and possibly the Contendas-Mirante metavolcano-sedimentary sequence or other Archean metasediments are the sources of the two-mica granites. From what we analyzed from our data, we could not identify a genetic link between the two granites. If you want I can send you my MSc Thesis via e-mail and we can keep in touch! It will me amazing for me to learn more from you!
